Top Three Reasons to Raise Kids in Utah
I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Utah. I’ve since had the opportunity to live all over the country in amazing communities, but there’s just something about Utah that can’t be beat. Here are my top three reasons why Utah is an awesome place to raise kids.
I’ve been to many major cities in the United States and I can tell you that Salt Lake City is by far the cleanest, most well groomed city I’ve ever seen. Cities and towns throughout Utah boast landscaped lawns, and trash-free gutters. I’m always surprised at how nice homes look, and how so many people put so much work into making their neighborhoods look nice. It’s comforting to know that I can let my kids play outside without worrying about them picking up random garbage. Some areas are better than others, as with any other state, but as a whole this place is very clean.
There is a sense of community.
The culture here in Utah is centered around family and community. Wherever you live, you’ll find multiple families in the same stage of life that you are. People are friendly here. We take pride in our communities and try hard to reach out and help those in our neighborhoods. Each city has it’s own traditions, and activities. I love that we’ll always have friends no matter where we go.
There are so many things to do.
This place is beautiful. That’s all there is to it. Whether you’re indoors or outdoors, you will find something awesome to do with and without kids. We have mountains for hiking, skiing, and camping, and lakes for boating and swimming. Sand dunes, salt flats, and red rock formations add to the beauty and variety the state has to offer. There’s water parks, amusement parks, and museums galore. It’s so easy to stay active, and without much effort or money. You will never be bored!
I’m convinced Utah is one of the best places in the world to raise a family! If you’re considering it, come on over and I’ll be your friend.
